The fact you’re in a relationship with someone doesn’t mean that you love that person. Sometimes people enter a relationship just because they probably like that person or like the idea of being in a relationship with that person. But is there love? It’s missing a lot of the times.
These are some signs that you don’t really love your partner.
1. LITTLE THINGS ANNOY YOU
With love comes tolerance; when you’re in love with someone, you’d find it easier to tolerate them and condone some things that could even make you angry if it were someone else. However, when you aren’t really in love with your partner, you’d get annoyed by little things they do.
2. YOU DON’T VALUE THE RELATIONSHIP
With love comes value; you tend to value anything you love and it isn’t different when it comes to relationships. If you don’t value your relationship with your partner, it’s just another sign that you probably don’t love that person enough.
3. YOU CAN’T GO THE EXTRA MILE FOR THEM
When you love someone dearly, you’d tend to do things for them and even go beyond your will to make them happy. However, when you can’t do this, it only shows you don’t love that person enough.
4. YOU AREN’T COMMITTED TO THE RELATIONSHIP
You know the reason parents are committed to seeing their children grow? It’s because they love them; there are parents who don’t love their children, and they aren’t committed to them.
When you’re committed to a relationship and put in efforts to make it better, it shows you love your partner. But when you are nonchalant about the relationship, then love is clearly missing.
5. YOU DON’T WANT A FUTURE
When you don’t want a future with that person, it shows that something is clearly wrong somewhere. If you love someone, you’d want to have a future with them and you’d try to work for that to happen. But if this isn’t the case, you probably don’t love your partner.
6. YOU TAKE YOUR PARTNER FOR GRANTED
This doesn’t need any other confirmation; if your take your relationship or your partner for granted, you surely don’t love that person.
7. YOU DON’T CARE ABOUT THEIR EMOTIONS
Your partner’s needs and emotions should mean something to you; you should care about how your partner feels and what’s going on in their lives. When this doesn’t interest, it’s because you probably don’t love that person.
8. YOU DON’T COMMUNICATE
Love and communication are like twin sisters; they are inseparable. Surprisingly, many people claim to be in love and don’t put any effort to communicate with their partner. You can’t love someone and then shut them out of your life.
9. YOU MAKE EXCUSES AND TRY TO JUSTIFY THEM
When you don’t really love your partner, you come up with lots of excuses to cover your mistakes; you make a lot of mistakes and try to justify them rather than accept your mistakes and apologise for them.
When it’s always one excuse or the other, it could just be that you don’t love that person.
These signs either suggest that you don’t really love your partner, or you’re probably falling out of love with that special someone.
